Como, Città dei Balocchi: the XXVIII edition between magic, hope and safety

The colorful fairy-tale playbill created by Stefano Misesti, illustrator and cartoonist, opens the door to the magical and cheerful atmosphere of the most anticipated event of the holidays in Como: Città dei Balocchi.

From November 27, 2021 to January 6, 2022 in Como you can immerse yourself in the lights, colors and giant projections that wrap Piazza del Duomo, catapulting the viewer into a winter, festive, fairy tale dimension.

After the online edition of 2020, necessary due to the too high health and economic risks, the XXVIII edition is full of hope and desire for rebirth, welcoming again in the city the millions of visitors that also this year can twirl on the ice rink, climb on the Ferris wheel to be bewitched by the beauty of Lake Como from a new point of view, visit the traditional wooden houses of the Christmas markets with excellent products of crafts and food and wine of the territory of Lake Como and beyond. This year is full of news: the stalls are hosted in different points of the city and at the Christmas Village you can enjoy the Christmas Market Truck Food. Little ones can have fun on the vintage Bruco Mela train and travel back in time with the Eighteenth Century Joust.

The projections of this edition, inevitable to make the atmosphere even more magical and joyful, see the involvement of international artists who have contributed to transform the facades of the squares of Como in works en plein air.

To ensure maximum safety, visitors are invited to follow anti-covid rules: it is mandatory to use individual protection measures, especially given the difficulty of maintaining the distance and the great likelihood of crowding and assemblage (in Piazza Cavour is expected to count the inputs and therefore a closed number access); it is mandatory to be in possession of Green Pass. The controls will be carried out by the Police and a staff of operators, so as to ensure the protection and safety of all participants.

Some extra attention to make the edition of the restart even more magical, enveloping, cheerful in the charming location of Como and the lake, which for the occasion is tinged with bright reflections and songs of celebration, turning Como into a real Città dei Balocchi.
