WMF 2018: World Manufacturing Forum.

On September 27th and 28th , 2018, international industry leaders and institutions met at Villa Erba to discuss innovations in the manufacturing sector. The World Manufacturing Forum - dedicated to 'Manufacturing Revolution to Promote Global Resilience' - brought together 30 international speakers among the manufacturing and digital industry protagonists, institutions, policy makers and industry experts from over 40 countries.

More than 800 people participated in an important moment of discussion on issues related to the manufacturing sector; the Global Report, a study carried out by the Scientific Committee of the World Foundation, chaired by Professor Marco Taisch of the Politecnico di Milano, examined ideas and solutions, paths and ways to face the challenges and future innovations of the world manufacturing industry.
 

Unindustria Convention.

General Assembly of Unindustria Como, with Giorgio Squinzi, Chairman of Unindustria, and Enrico Mentana, as moderator. The annual report of the activities was presented and the councillor, arbiters and board of auditors were appointed. 600 people took part in the meeting. German Day, la Germania a Villa Erba.

Celebrated in the spectacular EXPO Pavilion, the German Day 2015 had its ideal conclusion in the magical setting of Villa Erba. At the evening reception, the Chairman Cesare Manfredi welcomed 1,200 guests, including many representatives of the 148 countries participating in the Milan exhibition. He also welcomed Iris Gleicke, German undersecretary for economics and energy, and the Commissioner of the Germany pavilion at EXPO, Dietmar Schmitz. The evening was attended by the Mayors of Como and Cernobbio, and the Prefect of Como. After the welcome speech, the buffet points were opened, offering tastings of German and Italian products and show cookings. The guests were able to taste excellent gastronomic specialties while strolling between the Villa's centuries-old park and the central pavilion of the Convention Centre.

Under a tensile structure positioned by the lake, the evening was marked by different moments of entertainment with music, dances, fire-eater shows and Roger Cicero's concert. Then, in the halls of the historic Villa, began the DJ set, for a night of absolute fun. Villa Erba's German Day also had a strong link with the EXPO theme: Some Siticibo volunteers https://www.bancoalimentare.it/it/siticibo-in-lombardia collected the surplus food to be donated to charities. This initiative was agreed between the Germany Pavilion, Villa Erba and Altra Cucina, which organized the catering for this event.

Lithium batteries, international conference.

IMLB 2014 is the most important international conference in the field of lithium battery technology. It offers an update on the sector and its future applications in the commercial, aerospace, biomedical and transport sectors.
